Virtual Learning Lab

The Virtual Learning Lab is an interactive online environment that trains secondary teachers in integrating essential values and attitudes into their teaching, covering Sustainable Development, Democracy and Inclusion, and Wellbeing in Life. It provides self-paced learning modules, quizzes, and digital badges to help teachers master interdisciplinary planning and classroom implementation. The VLL also includes experiential labs and simulations that help educators link theoretical knowledge with real-life phenomena. Its primary users are secondary school teachers in subjects such as History, STEAM, Languages, and Economics, while students benefit indirectly through the enriched teaching practices their teachers adopt.

Interdisciplinary Pedagogical Units (IPUs)

The IPUs are ready-to-use lesson plans and teaching frameworks built around real-world phenomena such as climate change, the European Union, migration, and conflict. They translate the theoretical foundations of interdisciplinarity and PhenoBL into concrete classroom applications, encouraging inquiry-based and collaborative learning. Each unit connects multiple subjects, defines clear learning objectives, and includes assessment tools, digital resources, and suggestions for co-creative activities with students and families. Designed for secondary school teachers and their students (ages 13–15), the IPUs promote critical thinking, civic engagement, and cross-disciplinary problem-solving.
